About Us : Dr. Rajesh Agrawal – Treeman of Madhya Pradesh, (Vrikshamitra)
Dr. Rajesh Agrawal, fondly known as the “Treeman of Madhya Pradesh” (वृक्षमित्र), has dedicated his life to environmental conservation through large-scale tree plantation and free distribution of plants & saplings.
A successful industrialist and businessman for many years, Dr. Agrawal experienced a profound transformation after his youngest child’s wedding in 2013. At the age of 64, he began reflecting on life’s true purpose. While many people contribute to society through temples, charitable meals, old-age homes, and community halls, he wanted to dedicate himself to a cause that was often overlooked yet essential for the future of humanity.
In 2015, inspired by this vision, he chose trees as his life’s mission.
Without seeking donations or financial support, he established his own personal initiative and began planting trees using his own resources. In the early years, the journey was difficult. He personally dug pits, transported saplings, planted them, and cared for them because very few people understood the importance of tree plantation.
His dedication gradually inspired thousands. By 2017, his work started receiving recognition from citizens, government officials, and members of the armed forces. Today, Dr. Agrawal has planted and distributed well over one lakh or more trees every year across Madhya Pradesh and continues to expand this mission every year.
He personally travels from urban areas to rural areas to remotest tribal areas in his own vehicle, providing free fruit-bearing and shade-giving saplings to farmers, schools, institutions, and communities. His work not only improves the environment but also provides economic benefits to farmers through fruit production.
Every plantation and every sapling distributed is completely free of cost.
His lifelong mission is simple:
“आओ पेड़ लगायें, धरा बचायें”
Now in 2026, at the age of 80, Dr. Agrawal’s dream is that this movement continues long after him, with future generations carrying forward the responsibility of protecting nature.
“Love Nature has an amazing team of hard working professionals. It has been a pleasure to meet them.”
